Langkah-langkah menanam selada hidroponik adalah sbb:
Buatlah bak penampungan air dari kayu, kemudian berilah lapisan plastik untuk menampung air agar tidak mudah bocor!

Buatlah penutup bak hidroponik dengan styrofoam (gabus) yang dilubangi dengan diameter lebih kurang 5 cm! Lubang ini yang nantinya digunakan sebagai tempat menaruh netpot selada.

Sehingga jika tutup styrofoam diletakkan dalam bak akan tampak seperti berikut.

Setelah selada disemai, dan sudah muncul daun dan akar, selada dimasukkan ke dalam netpot. Kemudian netpot dimasukkan ke dalam lubang styrofoam.
